Where are you located?

Dr Daniel Girgis works regularly at the following clinics in Sydney:

  • Experteeth Dental (Kogarah)
  • Good Samaritan Medical & Dental (Sylvania)

He also travels with his team to other dental practices to service all areas of Sydney & Greater Sydney.

How do I refer to MOSS?

Dental practitioners, medical practitioners and other practitioners and/or their practice staff, can refer to MOSS by contacting mobileoralsurgeryservices@gmail.com and outlining the following:

  • Reason for referral
  • The patient’s contact information including mobile number and email address
  • If available, a copy of their most recent large jaw X-ray (OPG). Please include the date in which the large jaw X-ray (OPG) was taken

MOSS will then contact the patient to complete the online MOSS Patient Registration Form in order to be eligible for a consultation appointment.

MOSS also accepts referrals from patients (self-referrals) by completing the MOSS Patient Registration Form found here.

What can I expect at the consultation appointment?

The consultation is usually a 20 minute tele consult appointment (e.g via Zoom), available on the following times
– Monday: 1pm to 4pm
– Tuesday to Thursdays: 8pm to 9pm
– Saturdays: 10am to 12pm

At the consultation appointment you will be assessed and provided the following information

  1. What surgery is offered (if applicable)
  2. Information about the surgery including:
    1. What’s involved
    2. Its expected duration
    3. Potential benefits
    4. Potential risks
    5. Likely recovery and post operative care
  3. Quote for the total cost
  4. Potential dates for surgery
  5. Answer to any of your questions regarding the oral surgery and/or sedation procedures

The consultation appointment attracts a fee of $90. To be eligible for a consultation, the patient must have a recent (<3months) copy of a large jaw X-ray (OPG) and complete the MOSS Patient Registration Form found here.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Patients are required to complete the MOSS Patient Registration Form found here and provide a recent copy of their large jaw X-ray (OPG) to be eligible for a consultation appointment. If the patient does not have a copy of their large jaw x-ray (OPG) within the last 3months, MOSS will provide a referral to your nearest available medical imaging provider. There is no cost for the large jaw X-ray (OPG) and this is usually a walk in, walk out service that does not require an appointment.

Please note that the first appointment is usually a teleconsult (usually via Zoom), and does not require you to travel.

What are your fees?

  • All consultations, arranged via teleconsult, are $90.
  • All post operative reviews, arranged via teleconsult, are complimentary.
  • Inhalational (happy gas) sedation is complimentary with all oral surgery procedures.
  • The fee schedule is standardized for each oral surgical procedure and is provided in writing to the referring dental practice. The fee schedule is updated periodically.
  • The fee for each surgical procedure is set to be as affordable as possible to enable increased accessibility of oral surgical health care in the community.
  • You will be provided with a formal quote for the total cost of your surgery at the consultation appointment.

I’m the owner or manager of a dental practice wishing to collaborate with MOSS, how can this be arranged?

I have a recent large jaw X-ray (OPG) – how do I provide this to MOSS?

There are two ways a patient can provide MOSS with a copy of their large jaw X-ray (OPG)

  1. Email it to mobileoralsurgeryservices@gmail.com with their full name, date of birth, and date of the large jaw x-ray (OPG)
  2. Upload it online when completing the MOSS Patient Registration Form

I don’t have a large jaw X-ray (OPG) within the last 3 months – how do I receive one?

If the patient does not have a recent large jaw X-ray (OPG), then MOSS can provide the patient with a referral to their nearest available medical imaging provider. There is no cost for this large jaw X-ray and it is a walk in, walk out service. For large jaw X-rays (OPGs) that are referred by MOSS, MOSS can directly access a copy of the imaging online. In these situations, it is not necessary for the patient to provide a copy of their large jaw X-ray (OPG) to MOSS.
